The implementation of inovaGIS object on the Internet consists of ASP (Active Server Pages) and CGI (Common Gateway Interface) to access Geographic data and functions in the WWW. It uses the inovaGIS (the new version 3.0) automation objects server in combination with the Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0 to generate dynamic pages that in the end will behave like a desktop GIS.

The user queries the data and retrives HTML pages with the result in text, numeric and pictorial (JPEG's and GIF's) format. In the examples shown here all data files are in the directory

d:\projectos\vgis\
