It is just hosted here for nostalgic and historical reasons.

The inovaGIS.org is a small community of people developing free software in Visual Basic, Delphi/Kylix and ASP for common, simple applications that use geographic information. Right now our focus is on porting our library of geographic objects to Kylix (LINUX) as open source, developing web services using SOAP, and in OpenGIS specifications with the development of the GIServer.
We don't have any business-model, we just share GIS methods and algorithms in a collaborative effort. Feel free to join us and participate in the forum discussions (or simply go to the download section).

GIServer SOAP Webservices

Several SOAP Webservices were developed using inovaGIS objects for the GIServer. Among the free services available are the geographic coordinates transformation, transformation of world coordinate in country name, retrieval of country geographic box in text or GML format.

On-line Geographic Coordinate Transformation

The GIServer now offers a free online tool for geographic coordinate transformation. It transforms your points pasted directly to your browser and you can download them as text, HTML table or as new SHAPE file (ESRI format). Special pages were made for users in Portugal (Hayford de Lisboa Militar, Bessel-Bonne, Datum 73), Brazil (Corrego Alegre, SAD69), USA (NAD27, NAD83), France (RGF93, NTF, ED50) and Australia (AGD66, AGD84).

GIServer Web Mapping Tutorial

This tutorial includes JavaScript and HTML source code develop your own GIServer web pages, like learning on how to dinamically change your GETMap request without reloading your page, using mouse events in your web map interface, requesting cascanding services, temporal layers and many more features.

Open Source Webservices for GIS

The Open Source GIServer Web Services effort is now available for comments and download. With the development of these OpenSource GIS Web Services we hope to contribute and develop a network of computers that will have the purpose of Geographic Information resource sharing among different actors in a flexible, secure and coordinated fashion.
