During the first weeks of January, while the water was receding from another big flooding in Germany, the heavy rainfall together with the snow melt in the Alps, caused a dangerous rise in water level of the Rhône river in the South-East of France in the Camargue region. ERS-1 satellite was able to acquire data before, during and after the flooding. Using images from the Fast Delivery SAR multitemporal covering the estuary of the Rhône river, this inovaGIS/GIServer project enable the user to make color composit of the different dates to assess the different water content of the region during the time range of the images.
